Dozens of people were either killed or injured at a crowded movie theatre in Aurora, Colorado on Friday morning. A gunman was said to have opened fire on the people that were gathered inside the theater to watch ''The dark knight rises", the much anticipated Batman sequel. The suspect, a man born in 1987, has been taken into custody but no name has been released.

American celebrities woke up to the news of the Colorado shooting and have been expressing their sorrow on twitter.

Eva Longoria tweeted : "My heart goes out to all the people affected in the Aurora, CO shooting. May God be with that town and their families... "

Billy Ray Cyrus also tweeted : "Oh no ! Just woke up and turned on the news "14 dead 50 hurt in Batman movie shooting". Praying for victims. So sorry and sad."
